How do I learn more about web conferencing for small administrative meetings or interviews?
Web conferencing support is provided through the UKIT-Academic Technology Group.

When I am scheduling courses back to back do I need to allow time in between?
Yes you must allow 10 minutes between programs or classes. We need this time to disconnect the sites scheduled for the first program and to connect the sites scheduled for the second program.

If I decide to cancel my course, whom do I need to notify?
The DLN Scheduler must be notified of all cancellations 24 hours prior to the program.


What are your video recording policies?
Faculty: DLN will record any course session for the instructor that will be stored on the TASC-DLN server (Consent Form)
Distance Learning Students: Any Student who wishes to view recorded courses can go to:
http://vcrvideo2.uky.edu (from off-campus locations) or
http://128.163.55.247 (from on-campus locations)

  • Video recording of courses
    Upon faculty/instructor approval, all courses will be recorded. (Consent Form)
    DLN will store a copy of each recording for one whole week following the last day of the semester.
  • Viewing of recorded courses on-line
    The following sites must be used to view the recorded courses:
    http://vcrvideo2.uky.edu (from off-campus locations) or
    http://128.163.55.247 (from on-campus locations)
    You can choose from the “Public Folders” list on the left and your class will be listed inside by Course Number and date.

There are several playback options available. The “Audio only” option will display any content from the class and audio of the instructor and is the best choice for slow network connections. If you have a high speed network connection, the 128 kbps and 384 kbps will work for you. These connections show video and audio of the instructor along with content.
