DISTRIBUTED EDUCATION

Distributed education generally involves teaching and learning activities that happen with the content expert and the learner separated by time and/or space, in whole or in part. Most commonly, distributed education activities involve some portion of their delivery via technology, such as the Internet, ITV, videotape or audiotape. However, “smart” (technology-enhanced) classrooms, field experience, pencil and paper activities, and service-learning projects are other examples of distributed learning.
