UK has negotiated rental agreements with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. We encourage you to use one of UK's designated travel vendors - AAA Corporate Travel Services, Trip Manager, Avant Travel or Commonwealth Travel/The Travel Authority - to handle all your rental car arrangements, as it is only through these vendors that we can collect the car data necessary to negotiate substantial discounts with rental car companies.

Regarding rental car insurance, please remember that insurance to cover collision or comprehensive damage waiver-deductible on rental vehicles is neither an authorized nor reimbursable travel expense for domestic rentals. The University now has an Actual Cash Value Comprehensive & Collision coverage for short-term rentals. By law all rental car companies must now provide the minimum amounts of liability insurance to their customers (included in car rental rate), except for rental car locations in Florida and New York. For these states without liability insurance, UK's liability insurance will cover the rental. Other insurance, including supplemental liability or casualty insurance, is a personal expense. For international car rentals however, accepting the additional insurance is allowable and reimbursable. Many international car rental incidents are harder to resolve than domestic incidents, and taking the additional insurance can help resolve such issues with less difficulty. Also, many foreign countries require travelers to take the additional insurance in order to be able to rent a car.
