Kentucky Engagement Conference

For those arriving Tuesday, November 18, the evening prior to the conference, a block of rooms is being held at the Lexington Downtown Hotel and Conference Center, formerly, the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 369 West Vine Street, Lexington, KY. To reserve a room, you may call (859) 231-9000, (877) 539-1648, or go to the website at http://www.lexingtondowntownhotel.com and use the booking code of KEC. You may request a room at the conference rate of $111 per night, which will reserve a room for you on the Plaza Club Level of the hotel and provide you with key card access to the 16th and 17th floors. The government rate of $91 will also be honored, but will NOT give you access to the 16th and 17th floors. Both rates will be plus applicable taxes, and can be booked through November 5, 2008.

For those requesting a room on the Plaza Club Level of the hotel, a hotel sponsored reception will be held on the 17th floor from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday evening, November 18. In addition to the reception, guests will receive the privacy of secured access to the 16th and 17th floors, personalized concierge service, and extras that begin with a continental breakfast and end with cookies and milk before retiring on a Sleep Number bed.

Parking in the hotel parking garage is free for overnight guests. This will be taken care of through your room registration at check-in. If you are an overnight guest and the Lexington Downtown Hotel parking structure is full, ask the Valet about check-in parking. There are spaces reserved near the Valet booth for guests to use to check into the hotel and take their luggage to their rooms before moving their cars to another structure.

Hotel parking garage validation is available for participants arriving on the day of the conference, Wednesday, November 19. Just bring your parking ticket to the conference registration table and ask our staff for the validation sticker. There are two additional garages on adjacent blocks that overnight guests and conference-day attendees may use if the Lexington Downtown Hotel structure fills up. Victorian Square garage is located on the block just north of the hotel. The entrance into this garage is from Short Street. The other garage is the Lexington Financial Center (aka Big Blue Building) located on the block just to the east of the hotel. Guests can enter the Financial Center garage from either Vine or Main Street. Both garages are connected to the Lexington Downtown Hotel via a pedway.
