FOR UGE STAFF
Undergraduate Education Staff Council
HISTORY AND MISSION
In February, 2011, the Undergraduate Education (UGE) Professional/Community Development Committee was commissioned to identify professional growth opportunities within the Division of Undergraduate Education. The Committee was originally charged to organize events that would build professional relationships among staff within the Division.
Building on the work established by the previous Division of Undergraduate Professional and the Professional/Community Development Committee, the UGE Staff Council has been established to serve as an advocate of the staff of the Division. The Council seeks to improve communication on all levels and will advise and inform the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education on issues affecting staff. The UGE Staff Council shall serve as a mechanism to organize events, plan projects, serve as a communications resource for staff, create awareness for staff opportunities, and assist staff in understanding how they can contribute to the well-being of the Division and its employees. Therefore, the Undergraduate Education Staff Council meets to advocate ideas and concerns of staff members and create activities to promote involvement within the Division.
