The Study
Smarter Seminar is an intensive, non-credit earning seminar
that Academic Enhancement staff will customize for your program,
class, or student group. The total cost of the seminar is
based on length, which ranges from 4 to 8 hours, and includes
a formal learning assessment, the requested hours of instruction,
and all course materials, which students may keep and use
as a resource to reference throughout the semester. Course
topics may include time management, note taking, study skills,
critical reading, memory enhancement, exam preparation, and
more..

Individual Academic
Consultations
Individual academic consultations
with a learning specialist are available to all UK students
at no charge. Consultations generally last one-hour, and students
may return as often as they need. Consultation topics may
include any or all of the following: Study skills, time management,
critical reading strategies, exam preparation, academic stress

Courses

Absent Professor Program
Staff from Academic Enhancement
are available, upon request, to present to classes on days
a professor may need to be out of town, but would rather not
cancel class. Topics available include: Study skills, note
taking, critical reading strategies, attention, concentration,
and memory enhancement techniques, time management, exam preparation,

Private Tutor Referrals
In addition to offering the
free Peer Tutoring Program in The Study, Academic
