| The
Study offers a free, proactive,
preventive model tutoring program. Peer Tutors are undergraduate
students who provide tutoring for introductory level courses at
UK. All tutoring is done on a walk-in basis--students are welcome
to come for help (even bring a study group) anytime tutoring is
available. Peer Tutors have successfully completed the courses they
tutor.
In general, the Peer
Tutoring Program hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 3-9 PM,
and Sunday nights 6-9 PM. Please check schedules for each location
to find when peer tutoring is available for your class!
In an effort to be
as convenient as possible for all students, we currently offer peer
tutoring in several locations:
- Peer
Tutoring in The Study--our
main location situated conveniently in the Commons, adjacent to
the south campus residence halls.
- Peer
Tutoring in The Study Too--tutoring mainly for chemistry
and calculus courses is also available in our location in Anderson
Hall, part of the engineering quad. Close to north campus residence
halls!
- Peer
Tutoring in LEAP Lab--tutoring for introductory accounting
and economics courses is provided in LEAP Lab, in the Gatton B&E
building, as well as in The Study.
At each location above,
you'll find the same great Peer Tutors who have taken the classes
you're taking and are ready to work through problems with you, offer
advice, and share their experiences.
