One-fourth to one-third

of all freshmen and many transfer students enter the University of Kentucky as Undergraduate Studies students. They are undecided about what major to pursue because there are many areas that interest them or because they need to explore their options. Time as an Undergraduate Studies student provides an opportunity to investigate UK's more than 80 majors while fulfilling general education requirements (University Studies Program). Undergraduate Studies houses a comprehensive advising center, Central Advising Service and Transfer Center, staffed with professional advisors.
