Prospective Students

Admission Requirements and Applying for Admission

Students transferring to the University of Kentucky who will have completed fewer than 24 hours prior to transfer will need to meet the Freshman admission eligibility requirements.

Students transferring to the University of Kentucky who will have completed at least 24 credit hours prior to transfer need to maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA from all college coursework to be eligible for admission.

Easy Steps for the Transfer Applicant

  1. Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission (PDF file)
  2. Submit an official high school transcript.
  3. Submit official transcripts for each college or university you have attended.
  4. Submit all materials, including the completed application with the non-refundable $50 application processing fee to:
