Incoming Students
Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Kentucky! We wish you a very successful and rewarding career at UK. We are pleased that you will be joining the UK academic community and we look forward to the contributions you will make. As a transfer student, you will be adjusting to a new academic environment and we want to provide you with as much assistance as possible. Therefore, we have included some quick links and tips that should provide you with a head start in making the transition to the University of Kentucky. What to Do Next:
Do you have questions about the transfer process? We're here to provide you with answers. You can check out FAQs for Transfer Students, or if your question is not addressed there, feel free to contact our Transfer Counselors in the Admissions office. Use UK's Course Applicability System (CAS) to see how your previous course work may transfer into the University of Kentucky. If you are unfamiliar with CAS, you can check out the UK CAS - Student Manual at the UK CAS Assistance Center. Transfer students accepted to UK have access to APEX, the on-line degree audit program that compares a student's academic work with the requirements of UK's academic programs. Accepted students may use APEX before arriving for a conference and enrolling in classes. If you are transferring from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, review the new Transfer Policies for Credit Earned at KCTCS Schools.
