Prospective Students Talk to a Transfer Advisor If the institution you are attending has transfer advisors, set up an appointment with one of them and discuss the process of transferring. Transfer advisors are uniquely trained to navigate the transfer process and to identify and understand possible impediments to successful transfer. Even if your institution does not retain transfer advisors, an academic advisor on your campus may have the necessary knowledge to prepare you for transfer to the University of Kentucky. However, if you do not have access to a knowledgeable advisor, the University of Kentucky has a transfer advisor dedicated to advising students interested in transfer. Ray Archer has offices at both the University of Kentucky and at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Transfer Center. Ray works four days a week at BCTC, but is accessible for in-person, email, or phone appointments for any student interested in transferring to UK.
