If you don't understand a concept,
apply it to something you are familiar with. Transfer the problem
to a hockey situation or dance if that is what you're involved in.
Making the example familiar to you will make the concept click more
easily. Before every exam,
I make a study guide. This is a good summary of everything we have
covered including definitions, theorems, examples, and more. By
making a study guide, it forces you to go over all the material.
They are also great when studying for cumulative finals because
all of the information is already concise.
