Always be aware of who you are giving your confidential personal information too. Your name, date of birth, address, credit card, Social Security Number and other personal identification numbers can be used to open credit card and bank accounts, redirect mail, establish cellular phone service, rent vehicles, equipment, or accommodation, and even secure employment. This information is found on many documents you may use everyday (credit card receipts, checks, mail, etc.). Make sure you don't leave this information lying around or out in the open for just anyone to access.
