Commemorating 70 Years of Integration

Throughout the 2019-2020 academic year, UK will feature a series of events, academic courses and special presentations. The commemoration and examination are sponsored by UK’s Office for Institutional Diversity, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this academic year.

UK Pharmacist Leads a Life of Service

Robert Littrell serves patients at UK HealthCare’s Good Samaritan Hospital, where he works as a clinical pharmacist for Internal Medicine. Littrell was a professor in UK's College of Pharmacy, where he taught future pharmacists important skills that would launch them into successful careers. He also serves in his local church.  It is his drive to teach and lead others that has inspired his latest venture – serving Lexington’s homeless community.

Amy Murrell Taylor’s 'Embattled Freedom: Journeys through the Civil War’s Slave Refugee Camps' is both beautifully written and an extraordinary contribution to the history of emancipation and the American Civil War.
