Who is eligible for a WildCard Student ID?
In order to get an ID‚ you must be admitted to the current or upcoming term at the University of Kentucky.
The card is the property of the University of Kentucky and is non-transferable. The card must be presented or surrendered upon request of authorized officials of the University. Any expenditure associated with the use of this card is the responsibility of the holder until it is reported lost/stolen.
Where is the WildCard ID Center?
The WildCard ID Center is in 107 Student Center. Office hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.
Do I have to register before I can get my ID card?
If you have been assigned to an advising conference then you can get your ID. It will not be valid until the beginning of the of the semester you are enrolled.
Do I have to pay for my WildCard Student ID?
Your first card is $15. Payment can be made with cash‚ check‚ Plus Account‚ Visa‚® or Mastercard®.
I’ve lost my card! What do I do?
If a card is lost or stolen‚ you should immediately report it online at the Plus Account web site‚ to the WildCard ID Center – (859) 257–1378 – or any Dining Services location. Any expenditure associated with the use of this card is the responsibility of the holder until it is reported lost/stolen.
If you find the same card before a replacement has been made‚ bring the card to the WildCard UKID Center to have it reactivated with no fee. Once the card has been replaced‚ it cannot be reactivated.
What is the cost of a replacement WildCard Student ID?
The replacement fee is $20 each time you replace the ID. Payment may be made with cash‚ check‚ Plus Account‚ Visa‚® or Mastercard®.
There is no replacement fee for a stolen ID when a copy of the police report is presented at the time of the replacement. No refunds are made if the police report is turned in later.
My ID is damaged‚ how do I replace my card?
There is a $20 charge for replacement IDs when damage is due to misuse. If your ID is worn from normal use‚ the card will be replaced at no charge when the old ID is turned in at the WildCard ID Center.
Cards with hole punches‚ washed in the laundry or with visable scratches are charged the replacement fee.
If I change my name‚ how do I replace my card?
There is no charge to update your ID when you have changed your name. First you should change your name at the Registrar's Office in 106 Funkhouser. You must turn in the ID to the WildCard ID Center and a new one will be issued at no charge.
Do I get a new ID every semester?
No‚ your ID is for your entire undergraduate or graduate stay at the University of Kentucky.
Your WildCard Student ID is automatically validated when your tuition and fees have been paid. If you should have a break in your education‚ DO NOT throw away your card because it will become active again when you return. Only the most recent card issued to you is valid.
What’s the best way to care for my card?
To prevent damage and extend the life of your WildCard‚ keep your card in the protective case provided. There is a $20 replacement fee if your card is damaged. Please do not:
- Punch holes in your card
- Mark or bend your card
- Scratch the magnetic stripe
- Use your card as an ice scraper
- Allow contact with magnets
