Spyware - A Plague

Have you noticed that new browser pages popunder your current browser window even though you are not actively moving between web sites. Even worse is the occasional browser crashes, windows that won't close and total browser hangups that these popunders can cause. Does all this sound familiar?

If these popunders are not from the current web site being viewed, then where are they coming from?

Spyware, Keyloggers, and Adware are being secretly installed on your computer when you install some programs from the internet. It usually comes from free software. Nothing is ever truly free. Ruthless companies are greedily cashing in on invading your privacy by installing this "scumware".

They are getting paid to include scumware on your computer without your knowledge or permission. Some websites can actually install software on your computer without you even knowing it.

Badly written spyware programs can cause browser problems, lockups, crashes and slow down your effective internet speed. It is not unusual to have six or more competing spyware programs running in the background whilst you are totally unaware of their existence!
