Cisco Aironet 350 Series Windows Setup

  1. Make sure that the Cisco Aironet 350 card is not in the computer.
  2. Go to the Cisco web site.
  3. Download the NDIS driver WIN95v697.exe for Windows 95, WINNTv697.exe for Windows NT 4.0, WIN98-2Kv664.exe for Windows 98 or WIN98-2Kv697.exe for Windows 2000 or Windows ME.
  4. Download the Cisco Aironet client setup and diag utility ACUv415006.exe.
  5. Doubleclick the driver download and extract the files to c:\temp.
  6. Doubleclick the Aironet utilities download and extract the files to c:\temp2.
  7. Place the Cisco Aironet 350 into the PCMCIA slot. When the Add New Hardware Wizard pops up, click Next. Search for the driver and choose c:\temp. Click next to install the driver (you may need your windows cd to finish the driver installation)
  8. Install the client software. Go to c:\temp2. Run setup.exe. Use the default options and finish the install.
  9. Go to Start > Programs > Cisco Aironet
    Click on Aironet Client Utility
    Click on Commands > Edit Properties
    Under SSID1 type in ukyedu
    Under the Network Security tab, check the box marked: Allow Association To Mixed Cells
    Click OK
  10. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
    Double-click on Network
    Scroll down in the component list
    Double-click TCP/IP > Cisco Systems 350 Series
    Click on the IP address tab and make sure that "Obtain an IP address automatically" is selected.
  11. Restart the laptop.

If you are near a wireless access point you should now be able to connect to the wireless network.
