The Faculty Senate 60 and 75 Credit Hour Rule Undergraduate Major Requirements (10/12/98) A. Students at the University of Kentucky who have not chosen a major or been admitted to a selective admissions college and who have earned at least 45 credit hours should meet regularly with an advisor who will help the student to choose a major or seek admission to a selective admissions college. B. Students at the University of Kentucky who have not chosen a major or been admitted to a selective admissions college and who have earned at least 60 credit hours will not be permitted to register for classes, except registration will be permitted for the following students if they have earned no more than 75 credit hours:
C. This rule may be waived by the dean of the college in which the student is currently enrolled or into which the student wishes to transfer or be readmitted.
