Academic Advising for Transfer Students

Undergraduate Studies offers academic advising for prospective and current students at the University of Kentucky. Professional academic advisors provide guidance about UK academic expectations and curricular requirements to better position you during the transfer process and to ensure success after matriculation. Full-time professional advisors are available to speak with you in Undergraduate Studies Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. Please call 859-257-3383 to speak with one of our academic advisors.

Undergraduate Studies also provides a full-time transfer advisor to further assist students interested in transferring to UK in strategically planning course schedules, interpreting course equivalencies, and navigating the application process. The transfer advisor holds regular office hours at Bluegrass Community and Technical College's Cooper Campus (100 B A.T. Building, (859-246-4620) for BCTC students on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday afternoons and in Undergraduate Studies (109 Miller Hall, 859-257-3383) on Wednesday mornings, Thursdays, and Fridays. The transfer advisor also coordinates the BCTC Blue+ program, KCTCS partnerships with Undergraduate Studies, as well as advises the University of Kentucky transfer student organization, UKATS.
