Tom Harris is Vice President for University Relations at the University of Kentucky. University Relations is responsible for building partnerships and fostering relationships between the university and the many communities it serves, including governments, media, alumni, and other individual friends of the university. The office has the primary responsibility for both internal and external communications and management of issues relating to the university as a whole.

The responsibilities of University Relations group include public relations and marketing, corporate partnerships, government relations, WUKY Public Radio, alumni affairs, executive communications, community engagement, the Louisville Regional Office and university issues management.
