Directions to UK Visitor Center

Please note that there are separate directions for weekday and weekend visits. Once inside the Visitor Center, present the white parking ticket to a Visitor Center representative to be stamped. Contact us if you have questions or need additional directions.

Directions & Parking (Monday - Friday)

Travelling North on I-75 (From Southeastern Kentucky)

Take Exit 104 (marked Athens/Lexington). Turn left off the ramp onto Athens-Boonesboro/Richmond Road and follow to downtown Lexington for approximately 8 miles. Turn left onto South Upper Street. Go through four stoplights and turn left into the parking garage (just after Fazoli's restaurant).

Traveling South on I-75/I-64 East or West (Fom No. Kentucky/Louisville or Eastern Kentucky)

Take Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US 68). Follow through downtown for 3.5 miles. One block past Hyatt Regency Lexington, turn left onto Maxwell Street. At the second light, make a right onto South Upper Street. Enter the parking garage on the left (just after Fazolis restaurant).

From Bluegrass Parkway (From Elizabethtown or Western Kentucky)

Turn right off the exit onto Route 60 (Versailles Road). Follow until it becomes a one-way street, West Maxwell Street. After crossing Broadway, take a right at the second light onto South Upper Street. Enter the parking garage on the left (just after Fazoli's restaurant).

Traveling North on US-27 (Fom Nicholasville Road or Harrodsburg Road)

Take US 27-N (Nicholasville Road) and continue straight (27-N turns into Limestone Street). After driving under the second skywalk, enter the parking garage on the left.

Directions from the Parking Garage to the Visitor Center

Take the pedestrian bridge located on level three Stair A of the parking garage across to campus (DO NOT take the pedestrian bridge to the Peterson Building). At the end of the bridge, the walkway will fork; veer right. At the next fork in the sidewalk, veer left. Cross Administration Drive and follow the sidewalk around to the back entrance of the Main Building. Take a right into the Main Building through the double doors. The Visitor Center is located inside immediately on the left.

Directions & Parking (Saturday)

Traveling North on I-75 (From Southeastern Kentucky)

Turn right at the fourth traffic light onto Avenue of Champions/Euclid Avenue. Turn left into the Student Center parking lot (use alternate parking if lot is full).

Traveling South on I-75/I-64 East or West (From No. Kentucky/Louisville or Eastern Kentucky)

Take Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US 68). Follow through downtown for 3.5 miles. Directions from the Parking Garage to the Visitor Center

Enter the Student Center using the entrance facing Stoll Field. Walk through the Student Center and exit the building using the doors by the UK Bookstore. Proceed up the walkway and cross Patterson Drive. On your right will be the Main Building (Patterson Office Tower will be on your left). Take a right into the Main Building through the double doors. The Visitor Center is located immediately inside on the left.
