Golden Matrix Families

Letter from Families Chairman

Dear Golden Matrix Families:

We are very excited that you are interested in the DanceBlue Adopt-A-Family Program. We are aware that many changes have begun to occur in your life, and we are so thankful that you are willing to give us the opportunity to provide your family with some additional support. In order to do this to our best of our ability, the Family Relations would like to invite you to become a Golden Matrix Family and participate in one of the most rewarding aspects of DanceBlue. Our mission is to serve the emotional needs of your family by making you aware of the resources available within the UK community, and to establish lasting and impacting relationships through the process of our work together.

The Family Relations Committee oversees the direction of the Adopt-A-Family Program, which allows students and organizations on UK's campus the opportunity to create teams that sponsor a Golden Matrix Family. These Adopt-A-Family partnerships are created with the intention to build relationships between the students and families. Student dancers then represent each family involved with the Golden Matrix during DanceBlue's annual Dance Marathon.

If you do not wish to participate as a Golden Matrix family, we still welcome you as a part of DanceBlue. We hope that you will join us at events such as the Family Fall Festival and our 24-hour dance marathon in the spring. While we feel we are able to provide the most support through our Adopt-a-Family program, we value your family's interests and hope to involve you in whatever manner you wish.

We believe that the patients being treated in the clinic and their families are the most important aspect of DanceBlue. It is through the direct contact with your children that we are most readily reminded of the lives we hope to enhance through our mission. Through your participation, we have the most valuable opportunity to visibly see the faces of the children directly affected by our fundraising efforts. We can also begin to see the lasting impact formed from establishing these relationships felt by all who become involved.
