A new half and full marathon training program begins this January.

Want to exercise and have fun while helping Kentucky Children? RUN BLUE for DANCEBLUE!

DanceBlue's NEW training program is for all people and all running levels! While training we will raise funds For the Kids!

What

RBDB is a NEW training group with the sole purpose of completing a mini-Marathon and/or Full Marathon while raising money and awareness for the University of Kentucky Pediatric Oncology Clinic. This program offers a choice of 1 and/or 2 phases:

  • Phase 1 (13.1 miles): The miniMarathon is on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 in Louisville, KY.
  • Phase 2 (26.2 miles): The Chicago Marathon date is October 10th, 2011.

Runners who complete their training program and raise their funds of $240 will have a special participation at DanceBlue 2010 as well as many other benefits!

Who

RBDB is looking for current UK students, faculty, alumni, and anyone interested in training for and completing a half-marathon and/or marathon. Beginner to Advanced levels of runners are welcome.

Where

Weekly group runs begin in January on campus and continue throughout the semester, leading up to the miniMarathon.

How

  1. Register by emailing dancebluerunning@gmail.com with your contact info and which phase(s) you want to participate in. Then we will CONTACT YOU!
  2. Mark your calender — training will begin after Christmas break for the Louisville miniMarathon!
