Dear Colleagues:
DanceBlue will be one of the most exciting events ever to occur on our campus. The unity it is building between all student organizations is tremendous, and the powerful message that the students involved are sending to Kentucky families dealing with childhood cancer is that UK students are committed to action and to helping our youngest citizens at a very difficult time in their life.
Funds raised by the students involved in DanceBlue will be directed to the UK Golden Matrix Fund, and will be used to support research and patient care in the UK Division of Pediatric Oncology. Services that are difficult or impossible to provide to low-income families, such as cancer support groups and psychosocial support will be funded by DanceBlue. Once the fund reaches a substantial level, it will also fund crucial clinical research programs in pediatric oncology.
