This little romp through history looks at food writing in different times and places in the world, in an attempt to discover what the changing language of food can tell us about ourselves. Our attitudes about food have been in constant flux, and by looking at the past we can understand why we are living in such a food-focused present."
Note: A ticketed reception with Reichl and other presenters will take place immediately before the presentation, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., at Maxwell Place, 471 Rose Street, the residence of University of Kentucky president Eli Capilouto and his wife, Mary Lynne.
