Jeffersontown Facilities Plan (April 2002; Draft)
The Jeffersontown Facilities Plan was prepared in 2002 to evaluate the conveyance and treatment within the service area. The plan recommended renovation of the treatment facility by adding final clarifiers to treatment schematics so that capacity is increased to 10 mgd. The preferred alternative included expanding a part of the existing sewer (10-inch Charlane Parkway Interceptor) to 12 inches to reduce SSOs. Cost estimates were provided with each alternative. The plan was submitted to KDOW for review in 2002. The plan included an evaluation of needs for the WQTC and recommended continuation of “blending” during peak flows. This plan was never approved by KDOW.
