Research Areas: optimization and simulation approaches for hydro and environmental systems management and modeling.

Information uncertainty, system representation and computational intractability. Water quality modeling, modeling hydrological processes, optimizing watershed management alternatives using emerging natural optimization approaches,inductive modeling of pollutant loadings under data-poor conditions, system dynamics simulation for water quantity and quality modeling, data-driven approaches and spatial-temporal analysis integrating GIS and system dynamics.

Mohammad Tufail, Ph.D., P.E.

Mr. Tufail has worked for several water and environmental consulting firms for seven years before joining the UK-PRIDE team at University of Kentucky.
