Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute (KWRRI)

KRCEE Project Videos
From 2003 to 2009, the KWRRI provided administrative support and served as the home for the Kentucky Research Consortium for Energy and the Environment. In 2010, the KRCEE was moved to the Center for Applied Energy Research. The primary focus of the KRCEE has been to assist in providing technical support in helping to resolved non-consensus issues associated with the cleanup of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. As part of this effort, the KWRRI was involved in several research projects. One of those projects involved the development of two videos that provide a history of the PGDP along with a discussion of ongoing cleanup activities and potential future uses of the facility. These videos are provided here.

Additional information on the PGDP can be found here (

In addition to these two historical videos, the KWRRI was also involved in another KRCEE project that involved the UK College of Design. This project involved design students who looked at innovative ways to visualize data and future landuse scenarios. A video summarizing the project is provided here.
