With a two-year $100,000 grant from the Louisville-based Gheens Foundation, the University of Kentucky is launching a pilot initiative entitled 1G2UK focused on improving retention and graduation rates for first-generation college students from Jefferson County.
The University of Kentucky's 1G2UK program is calling all first generation Jefferson County high school students to join us on December 6, 2014 for a morning of preparing for the ACT followed by a FREE zip lining tour at the Louisville Mega Caverns. The event includes free ACT practice questions, lunch and zip lining at the Louisville Mega Caverns. There will be transportation provided to get you from the ACT prep. to the Mega Caverns; all you need to do is sign up! Hope to see you there. See below for timeline detailing the day’s activities:

11:30am- Free Lunch/transportation to the Louisville Mega Caverns (1841 Taylor Ave., Louisville, KY 40213)
