Henry Clay Internship

The Henry Clay Internship is open to students at Kentucky colleges and universities who wish to pursue a career in public service for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Each intern receives a stipend for living expenses in Washington during the summer internship. Visit the website for more information.

Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship Program offers awards for undergraduates receiving Federal Pell Grants to study abroad. Students apply directly for this award but must have a letter of support from a Study Abroad Adviser AND Financial Aid Adviser.  Visit the website for deadlines and more information.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge. Applicants cannot be a citizen of the United Kingdom. Visit the website for more information.

French Internship

The Lexington Sister Cities Commission offers students from Lexington to gain professional experience through an internship in France. Benefits include a placement for internship, living arrangements, and some compensation. Applicants must be 18 years old, have good knowledge of French, and be available to be abroad for 2 months. Foundation for Global Scholars

Explorers Club Youth Activity Fund

The Explorers Club offers grants to students conducting individual scientific or exploration research projects through their respective schools with a supervising instructor. Visit the website for more information.

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scholarship program provides applicants with awards up to $8,000 per year for full time study and a 10-week internship in the summer for training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education. EPA Greater Research Opportunities Fellowships for Undergraduates

The Greater Research Opportunities Fellowships provide funding for students in environmental fields during the junior and senior year. Recipients also intern at an EPA facility in the summer of the junior year. Visit the website for more information.

Emigre Memorial German Internship

The Internship Program offers students internships at a German state parliament to gain government work experience, improve German language skills and learn about German culture. Visit the website for more information.

Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program

The Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program is a leadership development program for students committed to social justice. The duration of the fellowship is one year, during which fellows work in community and nonprofit organizations. Students with a commitment to social justice should apply, regardless of major.
