Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants for one year conducting research for books, co-authoring papers, participating in meetings, and organizing briefings. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute

The Fellowship offers Latinos who have earned a bachelor's degree within two years of the program start date a paid, nine-month fellowship to gain experience at the national level in public policy. Connecticut Health Policy Project Internships

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scholarship program provides applicants with awards up to $8,000 per year for full time study and a 10-week internship in the summer for training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education. The Lexington Sister Cities Commission offers students from Lexington to gain professional experience through an internship in France. Benefits include a placement for internship, living arrangements, and some compensation. Applicants must be 18 years old, have good knowledge of French, and be available to be abroad for 2 months. The Henry Clay Internship is open to students at Kentucky colleges and universities who wish to pursue a career in public service for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Each intern receives a stipend for living expenses in Washington during the summer internship. Visit the website for more information.

The German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD, provides scholarships students to attend a summer seminar/internship program in Berlin. Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholarships

The Overseas Press Club Foundation sponsors a scholarship for students interested in becoming foreign correspondents. The scholarship pays for travel and living expenses and provides an internship at foreign bureaus. Students in all fields are encouraged to apply, but must be interested in becoming a foreign correspondent.

Pasteur Foundation Undergraduate Internships

The Pasteur Foundation of New York encourages students to pursue scientific careers and expose them to an international laboratory experience during a 10-week summer internship. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and should have working knowledge of French. Visit the website for more information.

SMART Scholarship

The SMART Scholarship Program is for students pursuing a degree in STEM disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be employed with the Department of Defense upon graduation. UNCF/Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarship

The UNCF/Merck Science Research Initiative awards scholarships up to $30,000 to students to participate in a 10-12 week summer research internship with a Merck scientist. Students must be an African American U.S. Citizen or permanent resident to apply. Visit the website for more information.

USAID Donald M. Payne International Development Fellowship
