The Honors Program believes that international educational experiences are crucial for students to become well-rounded citizens of the world, and we strongly encourage students to investigate opportunities through the Education Abroad office that can suit any major, area of interest, duration, or language immersion.
Additionally, the Honors Program is excited to be able to offer travel courses in which students may enroll to complete program requirements through the course designation HON 352. Coursework completed while on an Education Abroad program will count for toward fulfilling Honors Experience credit (with the exception of ISP 599). Please complete our Education Abroad submission form so that we can award you Honors Experience credit for the courses you have taken, or plan to take. Courses completed while participating in National Student Exchange (NSE), up to a maximum of 6cr, can be used to satisfy Honors Experience credit.
There are a variety of scholarships available to support student travel, including the Kate Johnson scholarship, Student Skills Development Award, or, if the travel is associated with a student's independent project, the Independent Project Grant. Documents related to these scholarships and grants are available below.
