Honors Inquiry courses are first-year Honors courses taught by experienced Honors faculty members, they cover a wide range of unique topics, and are designed to fulfill UK Core requirements in one of four areas: Humanities; Natural, Physical and Mathematical Sciences; Social Science; and Arts & Creativity. Honors Inquiry courses satisfy both a UK Core requirement and an Honors requirement simultaneously, making it easy to streamline your first-year course selections.
Honors inquiry courses are small in size with a maximum of 20 students and are taught in a seminar format where students come to class prepared to discuss a particular topic. Honors Inquiry courses focus on discussion. Typically, the student is graded based on a combination of class participation, writing assignments, group assignments, and class presentations.
