The Journal Journey Project offers Honors Program students the opportunity to be matched with a faculty or staff mentor to keep a journal throughout the year for pass/fail credit in the spring semester of their participating year. While a valuable credit-bearing co-curricular opportunity, this experience dos not count toward Honors Program curricular requirements.
The JJP allows students the freedom and safety of ungraded but guided journal-keeping to reflect on their experience as scholars. The mentor/mentee relationship is an informal one, and students may and often do repeat the experience all four years with the same mentor.
Student participants in the JJP are eligible to apply for the Journal/Journey scholarship (PDF available below), which is intended to support student travel with a journal-keeping element in the summer following their participating year.
