Modeling biological membranes with circuit boards and measuring electrical signals in axons: student laboratory exercises

A Biology major at the University of Kentucky, Marti came to the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2007, after having graduated as Valedictorian of Knoxville Catholic High School. Marti was awarded the prestigious Singletary Scholarship and was accepted into the accelerated BS/MD program wherein she has maintained a 4.0 GPA. In 2008, Marti was awarded the Ribble Scholarship for her undergraduate research studies in neuroscience and has now been honored with the coveted Beckman Award for the same. Marti plans on graduating in the spring of 2010 and seeking acceptance into the University of Kentucky's College of Medicine MD/PhD program. She is the daughter of Dr. William B. Robinson, III, and D. La'Jean Robinson, both of Knoxville, Tennessee. Marti has one younger brother, Maxx Robinson.
