About TurningPoint

What is it?

TurningPoint is an audience response system that allows audiences and students to participate in presentations or lectures by submitting responses to interactive questions using a ResponseCard clicker or other mobile or networked device.

TurningPoint integrates with Microsoft Powerpoint for slide show polling, Respondus for easy assessment creation, and Blackboard for recording and tracking student response data.

About Blackboard

What is it?

Blackboard is the learning management system (LMS, sometimes also referred to as a course management system) that has been selected by the University of Kentucky. Blackboard provides instructors with a web presence, but does not require them to know web programming.

How can I use it?

Blackboard is an asynchronous teaching tool, meaning that participants do not have to be simultaneously connected.

About Adobe Connect

What is it?

Adobe Connect is a web conferencing application that enables instructors to deliver engaging video, audio, and interactive content in an online virtual classroom. Classes may be taught live (synchronous presentation) or offered on-demand (asynchronous presentation).
