About UK's Virtual Private Network (VPN)

What is it?

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) uses advanced encryption and tunneling to create a private connection to the UK Network from any other point on the internet. This enables users to transmit data between remote computers and UK systems securely. Using a VPN also provides a remote computer with a UK IP address, allowing users to access protected computer systems within the UK Network firewall, such as a desktop office computer or secure campus server, just as if they were physically on UK's campus.
