Important Information for Winter/Spring 2019 Priority Registration

Good afternoon, 

I hope everyone had a smooth start to the Fall 2018 semester. The Registrar's office is making preparations now for the upcoming Winter/Spring 2019 Priority Registration period (October 29 – November 20). Here is some important information for you.

Placement of Advisor Holds:
Advisor holds will be placed no later than Wednesday, September 19. Once the holds have been placed, advisors may begin lifting the holds as they meet with their advisees. 

SafeZone Training

Faculty, staff and campus leaders are encouraged to attend The UK SafeZone training on Thursday, September 6 from 3:00 – 4:30 in room 331 of the Student Center.  During the training, attendees will learn how to be an active ally and being to understand LGBTQ* identities.   RSVP is encouraged, but not required (

I am asking for your help with recruiting adult learners (e.g., anyone over the age of 25) who have attended any kind of face-to-face training, professional development, orientation, or other type of development session in the past six months.


Lewis Honors College Withdrawals

Beginning Fall 2018, all students wishing to withdraw from the Lewis Honors College must fill out and submit an online form ( to officially process their request. 


Final Official Transcript Initiative

Dear Advisors,

As part of our process to ensure that we have received all summer and fall 2018 incoming students’ official final high school and/or college transcripts, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be reaching out to students whose official final transcripts we have not yet received. We want to make sure that you are aware of this initiative as you may have students contacting you. 

Students Repeating CHE 1xx

The following message was sent to 253 students who are repeating CHE 103, 104, 105, 107, 109, or 110 this fall. I want to make sure they are aware of the resources available to them so they can successfully complete the course. Starting with registration for Spring 2018, any student who will be making a third attempt (Senate Rule 4.3.3) at these courses will have to file a petition with the Department for an override. Information about the petition process is available at
