10. PNN Tamá
(National Natural Park TAMA)
PNN Tama home site (Español)
This park is located in the northeast corner of the
Oriental cordillera, and belongs to the Norte de
Santander department. It has 51.900 Hectáreas and its
heights ranges from 350 to 3.400 meters above sea
level. Due the different heights, there are several
vegetation formations from humid rain forest to
Paramo. The park was erected to protect several
endangered species of the Andean mountains.
