The UK-ADC is seeking volunteers for clinical research studies. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing research in the areas of Alzheimer's disease and normal aging for any and all interested participants.
Scientists at the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging are conducting a research study to learn more about how Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease may affect an individual’s memory and thinking abilities as they grow older. This is a five year study of adults with Down syndrome over age 35.
The purpose of PREADVISE is to determine if taking antioxidants, such as selenium and/or vitamin E supplements, can prevent Alzheimer's disease and other less common forms of dementia.
