Building on a Strong Foundation - 3rd Annual Preservation South Conference
The University of Kentucky Historic Preservation Graduate Organization is honored to be hosting the 3rd Annual Preservation South Conference. Preservation South is a student-run conference created to give historic preservation students and students in related fields an opportunity to present and learn from the research of their peers. Students and recent graduates from all over the nation who are interested in presenting are invited and encouraged to submit an abstract of their research through the link below. Friday, February 28
2:00 pm - Speaker - Jean Carroon, author of Sustainable Preservation: Greening Existing Buildings
5:00 pm - Keynote speaker - Craig Potts, Executive Director of the Kentucky Heritage Council and State Historic Preservation Officer
7:00 pm Dinner at the Hilary J. Boone Center, University of Kentucky*
Saturday, March 1
9:00 am - noon - Presentations from students
12:30 - 2:00 pm - Break for lunch (box lunches included in conference registration)
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Presentations from students
Sunday, March 2
Optional walking tours in the morning and afternoon
*Dinner is not included in the conference registration. Cost to attend the dinner is $25. Please click the link below for dinner registration and payment.
