Distinguished Alumnus/a Award
The College of Design Distinguished Alumnus/a Award – the highest honor conferred upon a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Design – recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to society and whose career and accomplishment have brought distinction to his or her profession, local community and the College of Design.
By bestowing this award, the College of Design honors the recipient and further illustrates the value of the academic programs, student involvement at the College, and the pride all former students, current students, staff and faculty have for its programs. The award program recognizes men and women who demonstrate the impact and experience of design to the people of Kentucky, the nation, and the world.
Presented annually to an alumnus/a of the University of Kentucky College of Design in recognition of outstanding achievement, the Distinguished Alumnus/ae Award recognizes a graduate who has demonstrated creativity, innovation, leadership, and vision through his or her professional, societal, academic, or artistic contributions, or other areas appropriate for recognition, including service to the University of Kentucky. These contributions may be local, national, or international. Achievements and impact need not span a long career, but should demonstrate the potential to have a lasting effect on the broader community.
