The 2011 Beaux Arts Ball supports local organizations

The Beaux Arts Ball Foundation raised $57,000 this year, surpassing all of its previous fundraising efforts by wide margins.  Money raised by the Beaux Arts Ball Foundation is distributedt o several community organizations in Lexington and around the state of Kentucky.

Planned and organized by students from the University of Kentucky College of Design, the Beaux Arts Ball is the largest student-run, non-profit organization in the state of Kentucky. The event provides a unique atmosphere for local organizations, musicians, performers, dancers, and various design and installation artists to share their work and ideas with the Lexington community.

This year the foundation supported:
    The Children's Advocacy Center
    The Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana
    The Lexington Children's Theatre

And, 10 Honorable Mention Charities:
    Lexington Fairness     
    Faith in Action: Elder Outreach
    Dream Factory of Lexington
    Friends of the Lexington Public Library
    Balagula Theatre Company
    Home of the Innocents
    Lexington Fashion Collaborative
    Green River Academy Historic Site
    UK Chapter of Students Helping Honduras
