UK/CoD AIAS members will attend the Grassroots Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.

AIAS second year architecture students, Haley Koesters and Mark Manczyk, will attend this year's Grassroots Leadership Conference in Washington D.C., July 21-24.

The Grassroots Leadership Conference offers instruction on how to be an effective leader, run a successful AIAS chapter, motivate and organize students. Programming includes workshops, lectures, seminars, tours, and other discussion sessions that help promote and encourage interaction among student leaders.  Events at the conference will include:

• National Building Museum’s Spotlight on Design Keynote Lecture
• Visit the American Center for Architecture and meet the AIA Board of Directors
• Leadership Sessions
• Voting on important issues regarding the governance of the AIAS and important issues and ideas relevant to students, architectural education and the profession
• Tour of the Monuments in Washington, DC.

Architecture students, Madelynn Ringo, Jon McAllister, Donovan Justice and Trever Kidd attended last year's conference.
