10.13.11 Patent Workshop
Aspiring entrepreneurs attended the first of the four-part "Commercialize Your Idea: A Workshop Series" on Oct. 13, 2011. October's workshop covered protecting your intellectual property and was co-sponsored by the Kentucky BioAlliance. The featured speakers were Steve Hall, a registered patent attorney in the Louisville Office of Stoll Keenon Ogden, and Mandy Decker, a life sciences patent attorney with Stites and Harbison. Panel guests included Eric Ostertag from Transposagen and Vindico Pharmaceuticals, Todd Hastings, UK associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, and Matt Bellis, CEO of Seikowave.

| Stephen C. Hall is a registered patent attorney in the Louisville Office of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC. Decker has a scientific background in chemistry and experience with academic and commercial research in the areas of biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sciences. |
