Directions to the University of Kentucky

Driving south on I-64 or I-75
Note: I-64 and I-75 merge just south of Georgetown, Ky.
Follow I-64 or I-75 South to Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US-68). Follow through downtown for 3 miles. Turn left at the light onto Bolivar Street. Turn right onto Upper Street, and take a left into the parking garage.

Driving south and southwest on Bluegrass Parkway
Follow the Bluegrass Parkway to Lexington. Take Exit 72A to merge onto US-60 E/Lexington Road toward Lexington. Follow US-60 E. Turn right onto South Broadway. Take the 3rd left onto Bolivar Street. Turn right onto South Upper, take a left into the parking garage.

Driving north on I-75
Follow I-75 North to Exit 104 (marked Athens/Lexington). Turn left off of the ramp onto Athens-Boonesboro Road. Follow for 8.2 miles to downtown. Turn left onto Rose Street. Turn right on Avenue of Champions. Continue through light, turn left on South Upper, take a left into the parking garage.

Directions from the UK campus to Coldstream Research Campus

From the visitor parking garage on Limestone Street, take a left out of the parking garage on South Limestone. Turn left onto West Main Street. Turn right onto Newtown Pike. Turn left onto Citation Boulevard. End at the Coldstream Research Campus, 1500 Bull Lea Road.

Parking at UK

We suggest you park in designated visitor parking lots while on campus. The driving directions take you to the visitor lot nearest to the ASTeCC Building, Parking Structure #5 at 409 S. Limestone Street. Other visitor areas are designated in red on the UK parking map. The cost of parking in Parking Structure #5 is $2.00 for the first hour, $2.00 for the second hour, $1.00 per hour thereafter, with a $10.00 per exit maximum.

The university also issues temporary parking passes to visitors for $2.50. Temporary passes can be obtained at these locations:

• 721 Press Avenue (main office), corner of Press Avenue and Virginia Avenue
• 110 Transcript Avenue, corner of S. Limestone and Transcript Avenue, Medical Center area
•  Parking Structure #5, next to Kennedy Book Store on South Limestone

Temporary passes must be displayed in the lower left hand side of the windshield in clear view. They can be used for employee lots designated in blue on the UK parking map. The passes are not valid for entrance into gated parking facilities.

Visitors may also use university or city parking meters. UK meters are black and accept nickels, dimes and quarters. Time limits for these meters are either 45 minutes or 3 hours. City parking meters near campus are gray. See the LexPark Web site for details.
