Startup Weekend Lexington is Nov. 18-20

Awesome Inc. and Big Blue Starters, UK's entrepreneurship club, are sponsoring Startup Weekend in Lexington on Nov. 18-20 at Awesome Inc., 348 E. Main St. The 54-hour startup event promotes discovery, innovation, teamwork and entrepreneurship.

Speakers for the weekend include: Bruce Walcott, UK College of Engineering; Warren Nash, director of the Lexington Innovation & Commercialization Center; Sean Moore, training coordinator for the Bluegrass Small Business Development Center; Shawn Rogers, assistant director for the Bluegrass Small Business Development Center; Lori Cheek, founder and CEO of Cheekd.com and UK School of Architecture graduate; Lexington Mayor Jim Gray; and Sean O'Leary, associate vice president for the Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation.
