Our program based on theory and research includes multiple levels of support to address the unique challenges first generation students face.   • Residence hall experience as a part of a living learning community (freshmen year) including connected core courses and common cohort course;
  • Progressive Mentoring;
  • Group activities include educational workshops, cultural events, and group and individual service projects.
  • Participation in a student organization based on the scholars interests.

The First Scholars Program at UK has been an affiliate of the national First Scholars Network of The Suder Foundation since 2009.
