Health Plans - Overview

The University of Kentucky offers a wide variety of health plan choices, ranging from more cost-effective HMO which offers quality care exclusively through UK HealthCare facilities and physicians to plans which offer a broader provider network.

Because choosing the right health plan for you and your family can be challenging, the overview below has been created to help you identify which health plan best suits your individual needs. The major differences between the University health plans have been highlighted, allowing you to accurately compare each plan.

 

Two Convenient Options for Enrollment

1. Online Option
You may enroll from your office computer or in the comfort of your own home with your own computer.

It’s easy! Visit the myUK Web site. Enter your link blue user ID and password and click “sign on.” (This is the ID/ password you use to log into your Exchange e-mail account, or in some cases, to log into SAP. For assistance with your ID or password, contact Information Technology at 257-1300.) Then follow the Employee Self Service (ESS) Step-by-Step Instruction Guide for those benefit plans you need to update.

2. Paper Option
Enroll using paper forms. Pick up forms at 112 Scovell Hall, 321 Wethington Building, or print forms.
