This course will provide Supervisors with an overview of the various divisions of Environmental Health and Safety. A member of the Environment Health and Safety division will review and explain to Supervisors their roles and responsibilities in relation to keeping their employees working in a safe environment. Included in this discussion will be topics such as what to do in the event of an emergency or accident, fundamentals needed in an evacuation plan, and wearing of personal protective gear.

Based on the books of John C. Maxwell, this leadership series is designed to encourage and support experienced managers to continue to maximize their leadership potential. Managers and directors attend a weekly lunchtime session for eleven consecutive weeks. The academy is conducted every spring and fall. Who Should Attend: Experienced leaders (managers and directors) who want to grow and develop their skills and abilities as leaders in the context of a structured discussion, self-study and peer support. Curriculum: Leaders will meet for 1 .5 once every week to focus on the following issues. Challenging work, readings, and personal assessments are assigned to be completed before class. This instructor-led virtual session will provide Supervisors with information about their own delegation preferences and how to get more done by efficiently utilizing the skills of their employees. By practicing the appropriate steps of delegation, Supervisors will be able to delegate tasks effectively and get more accomplished in today’s busy environment.
When completing a virtual instructor led session, you will need access to the following:
•Computer with speakers and internet access. If you office in an open environment, you may want to use a headset for this training.
