Awesome, Inc. U - Kids Code Camp - #WeekOfCode
Intead of your kids spending their free time playing apps, what if they spent it learning to write them? This camp for middle and high school students will teach the fundamentals of coding. Students will create websites, mobile apps, and learn to design video games all while having fun with our energetic team. By the end of the week, each student will have built at least one webpage, mobile app, and video game using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android, and Unity 3D. We keep this camp small to ensure everyone gets very focused attention and learns at their own pace. Prepare to be amazed!

Bricks 4 Kidz
Bricks 4 Kidz classes provide an extraordinary atmosphere for children, where we learn, we build, we play… with LEGO® bricks. Our specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. At Bricks 4 Kidz, we believe that kids learn best through activities that engage their curiosity and creativity.

Broadway Bound (University of Kentucky)
A unique musical theatre training opportunity for students in Lexington and surrounding areas, Broadway Bound is proud to provide two streams of training - Broadway Bound Conservatory and Broadway Bound Performance Camps. Students will have opportunities to learn music from professional voice coaches, and to work with talented directors and choreographers who will challenge and inspire them to gain confidence and skill in artistic expression. They will become a valuable part of a perfoming team and make new friends in the context of a positive, encouraging, and non-competitive environment.

Here is your opportunity to personally explore art in a variety of media forms. Transform a collection of found objects into art! Campers will enjoy a variety of art projects and bring home their treasured works of art at the end of camp. Some off campus field trips may be included in this camp. Enter in to get the best of both worlds - combining story world imagination with real world information. There will be hands-on experiences using literature to improve math, social studies, and science thinking skills. EKU Computer Science Summer Camp (2015 info will be posted soon)
The EKU Department of Computer Science Summer Camp will be in its 15th year of operation this summer. We pride ourselves in providing a fun, educational program, rooted in computer science and technology.

The Explorium of Lexington creates a fun and dynamic hands-on learning environment that inspires imagination and curiosity. Weekly camps are split in to three separate age groups: Pre-K, K - 2nd, and 3rd - 5th. Each group of campers will participate in age appropriate activities relating to the week's overall theme.

The Kentucky Entomology Leadership Program is a week-long, outdoor summer entomology course for high school students. Join us for an intense week of insect collection, identification, and forest/insect ecology.

This is an intensive week-long program held at the University of Kentucky, College of Arts & Sciences. The program is open to high school students who will be juniors and seniors in the fall semester of 2015. Graduating seniors who have been admitted to UK (including the College of Arts & Sciences) and would like to get a head start on their writing skills are also encouraged to attend. The Colony offers writers the space and time to read, write, and engage serious writers from around the world. Led by the distinguised faculty of UK's Creative Writing Program, the Colony offers workshops in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction.

Living Arts & Science Center
The Living Arts and Science Center (LASC) inspires participation in art and science by engaging the community through education, discovery, exploration and creativity. All classes are taught by professional artists, scientists and educators. Classes are hands-on, participatory and include a wide range of arts and science subjects and disciplines.

Medical Career and Science Institute Camp
The Medical Career and Science Institute is a one-week health careers camp hosted by the Bluegrass Healthcare Consortium that provides students an opportunity to ‘jump start their career in the health field.’ MCSI is designed for middle school students who are seriously interested in pursuing a career in a health profession. 
Ages: Current grades 6-8 (students must be enrolled in school in the 17 county Bluegrass Region)

Newton's Attic Engineering Summer Camps
4974 Old Versailles Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40510
Newton's Attic provides several science and engineering related summer camps. Some take place in our extensive wood and metal shop where students design and fabricate mechanical devices such as catapults, brain teasing puzzles, robotic devices and more. Others are computer based such as Lego Mindstorm classes, programming with Scratch and Java and digital arts. All classes emphasize the engineering process, the application of basic math and science knowledge and or basic computer skills.

Dates: Camps will run weekly all summer long from the end of May to the first week in August.

See Blue STEM Camp
The week-long day camp is designed to help middle school students explore and integrate the STEM disciplines through hands-on projects and real world applications. Camp is held on UK's campus and features UK professors, tours of laboratories, and Lego Robotics. All participants will receive a camp tshirt, water bottle, USB drive, and tote bag.

Toodle Langa Summer Camp
Rockcastle County, Kentucky
Toodle Langa Summer Camp is a unique summer camping experience for campers and families of all ages! The camp is located in beautiful Rockcastle County with camps and workshops offered throughout the summer and fall in various surrounding locations. The emphasis of our camp is: Art through Re-Purposing * Re-Using * Recylcing! Campers will learn to make t-shirts, musical instruments, free form art and crafts by re-using old, discarded items.

Design Discovery is an intensive weeklong program held at the UK College of Design, where participants can explore the many facets of design education. A major emphasis will be placed on the foundational experience of an intensive design studio, where individual education is enhanced and nurtured in a college environment. Participants will be challenged to think creatively, analyze design, and present their work to peers and professionals. Events are structured to broaden the participant's understanding of the design professions, and serve as an introduction to design thinking, problem solving, the Lexington community, and the University of Kentucky.

UK Geography's Summer MapCamp!
Inspire your young map lover with a week of engaging map making and outdoor geo-challenges. Participants will learn the ancient craft of cartography, build digital ineractive maps, conduct campus treasure hunts with GPS-enabled mobile devices. UK Philosophy Summer Camp
This camp is the chance to practice critical thinking and become more logical debaters and conversants. It's the chance to ask big questions like, "What are morals?" or "Why do we have society?" We will work together to think carefully about important philosophical ideas, both throughout history and in our world today.

Lexington Taekwondo & Jiu Jitsu Academy
At our summer camp we will teach students new, unique, awesome skills that they can't learn anywhere else. What it REALLY means is that we teach things like Focus, Confidence, Discipline and Independent Motivation. This camp runs for eight weeks and includes four off location activities per week (typically swimming 2 - 3 times per week) and Ninja Camp one day per week. All martial arts classes are included, which begin at 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

McCallie Sports Camp
Chattanooga, Tennessee
For more than 30 years boys have enjoyed an action-packed summer of fun, games, growth and friends at McCallie Sports Camp. Campers play team sports and take part in tournaments, individual sports, and high adventure activities including wall climbing, whitewater rafting and paintball. Excursions include a day at Six Flags over Georgia and an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Campers play all sports and have the opportunity to try new games and improve their skills in familiar sports.

Transylvania University Summer Sports Camps
Transylvania University offers a variety of summer camp programs that cater to youth, 3 - 18 years of age, in a multitude of sport options - basketball, lacrosse, swim lessons, All Sports Camp, soccer, baseball, and softball.

These camps give participants at any level the opportunity to learn and participate in the game of soccer in a fun and safe environment. All camps are under the guidance and supervision of our highly qualified staff and current players at our newly opening state of the art soccer complex. Every aspect of the game will be covered technically and tactically as well as specialized goalkeeping training.

University of Kentucky Splash Camp
Our camp combines swimming instruction, training, as well as unique and creative fun in the water! We welcome those with various type of swimming background.

University of Kentucky Volleyball - Lil' Wildcats Camp
This three-day camp focuses on introducing the game of volleyball to beginners, ages 5 - 11. It will give campers the opportunity to learn the sport in a fun atmosphere with our collegiate players. Fundamentals will be taught in creative ways, and campers will learn to play volleyball the Kentucky way!

Camp Midway - Equine "Behind the Ears" Camp (co-ed)

The Equine "Between the Ears" Camp is for beginners to intermediate riding levels. Campers will learn the basics about how care for a horse and will be involved in riding and non-riding activities. Would you like to improve your riding skills? Or even bring your horse to camp and work with a college-level coach? Then this is the camp for you! Hospice of the Bluegrass - Healing Hooves Grief Retreat
Healing Hooves incorporates the use of horses to facilitate the grieving process for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. The program combines counselors, equine specialists and horses to assist children with the healing process and help promote healthy coping skills.

Moss Landing Summer Horse Camp
Millersburg, Kentucky
Our camp is geared toward children ages 5-15. Campers get two mounted lessons daily, plus plenty of unmounted instruction. Emphasis is on FUN and SAFETY!

Northern Kentucky (Burlington)
The ranch is equipped with a 28 stall barn, two riding arenas, a fluctuating herd of 25-30 horses, and miles of trails! All ranch programs are led by a CHA certified director and her team of knowledgeable and experienced wranglers.

4-H Camp (Fayette County)
Feltner 4-H Camp, London, Kentucky and North Central 4-H Camp, Carlisle, Kentucky
Youth will attend overnight 4-H Camp for one week and take selected classes including: swimming, archery, basketball, cool foods, challenge course, high ropes, jewelry making, nature, outdoor games, recreation, riflery, leadership, and more.

Camp Curiosity - The Lexington School
Children are given the opportunity to create a personalized, independent schedule selecting from a wide variety of activities such as sports, art, and drama. Camp Midway - Girl Power! Camp
Midway, Kentucky

Midway College has been focused on developing leadership skills and empowering young women for more than 165 years. These week-long day camps will focus on developing independence, building self-confidence and teaching girls to be leaders through a wide variety of fun, hands-on activities. The theme of week one is "Kentucky Proud," which will explore what makes Kentucky special. Week two's theme, "Girls Through the Decades" will examine what it was like for the girls and women of the 1940s, '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s. The camp includes daily lunch, a t-shirt, a certificate of participation, and a souvenir photo. Child Development Center of the Bluegrass
CDCB will be offering pre-school summer camp spots on a limited basis to children 3 years - kindergarten eligible. We provide a classroom environment and a curriculum to support social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development for all children. We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Hospice of the Bluegrass - Camp HOPE
A weekend retreat at Cathedral Domain Camp and Conference Center in Irvine for children who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past two years. Space is limited.

Life Adventure Center

Lions Camp Crescendo 
Lions Camp Crescendo is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life for youths, especially those with disabilities. The Kentucky Lions Youth Camp is for those who are blind/visually impaired or deaf/hard of hearing. Camp Heart to Heart is offered to those who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Camp Freedom is for children in foster care or in the legal custody of their grandparents. The camp is located in Lebanon Junction in Bullitt County, about 25 miles from Louisville.

The military family camps are for families who are active duty, Reserve, National Guard, DoD civilians and DoD contractors from any state who will be currently or have been deployed in support of an overseas contingency operation. National Academy
Our camp keeps children busy ALL summer! We go on 2 to 4 field trips weekly, from the Planetarium to the local pools, to Champs, to bowling and so much more! When the children are staying at the center, we always have fun crafts and activities planned.

Camp Shalom
Camp Shalom is the only Jewish summer day camp in the central Kentucky area. The non-denominational program provides a safe and comfortable setting for children from all backgrounds and streams of Judaism to come together and learn about Jewish culture, history, and identity regardless of their individual background or level of observance. Camp is open to children of all religions. Camp activities include: water games, nature, sports, art, games and chugim (daily electives that each camper will choose often including nature or science, cooking, art, sports, dance, drama and more). At the end of each week, parents are invited to join us for an open house where we will share in a Shabbat experience, have a brief talent show, and hear a summary of our week together by the staff.The Gesher group has the option of going on a trip to visit Camp Livingston in Bennington, Indiana between sessions for a full weekend Shabbat sleep-away camp experience ($80 fee apllies).
